Travel Photo Thursday — November 9, 2011 –Through the Eye of A Fish
….A FISH-EYE LENS, that is!
Welcome to another week of Travel Photo Thursday. I was trying to think of something different to post this week, when out of the corner of my eye I saw my fish-eye lens. I can’t remember the last time I actually used it. However, I did remember taking some cool shots with it at one point and I had a look around in my Flickr archives, and you’ll see a few of my favorite fish-eye shots below.
To join in the Travel Photo Thursday fun simply post a photo on your blog. Return here and place your link in the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this post.
Please post a link to a post featuring a travel photo, not simply a link to your blog.
If you do tweet a shot, please use the hashtag #TPThursday.
Usually when you walk into a Korean Buddhist temple the first thing you see is four protectors. This is one of the protectors at Yeoljeongsa Temple, seen through my fish eye lens.

What a cool effect you get with a fish eye lens. Never used one. These photos would be terrific with or without the lens, I think. Love those lanterns.

I love that shot of the lanterns because of the great colour and the fact that the distortion is kind of hidden by all the curves! Now I might have to play with one of those lenses a bit….

Very interesting! I’ve never used a fish eye lens, but I believe it gives the photo a feeling of intimacy.

Oh these are wonderful! I’ve always wanted a fisheye and really love how you have used yours. All of these shots are a little surprising as choices and all work really well, but I love, love, love those lanterns!

I’m not big on photography, but there is a lot to say about the use of fish eye lens to highlight a great motif. Very amusing shots.
